Managing Programs & Projects successfully...
Project Portfolio Management
Project portfolio management (PPM) includes the analysis and overall management of a project portfolio based on the key characteristics of the projects. The goal of project portfolio management is to find the optimal mix of projects within given conditions (such as customer concerns, strategic goals or available resources) that can make the greatest contribution to meeting the organization's goals.
Program Management
Program management deals with the simultaneous management of multiple related projects. Program management develops the cost and resource management plan for the entire program and guides the interrelated projects within the program toward the overall goal. The project goals are aligned with the larger company goals. A program can include a variety of interrelated projects, each of it can have its own project manager.
